Savannah arts academy was established in 1999 as a Specialty school and is part of the Savannah-Chatham county public school system. Enrollment is based on specific academic criterion, as well as a successful audition in the desired major.

The first day of school is tomorrow, Thursday August 2nd!
Band students do NOT need to bring instruments this Thursday/Friday (August 2nd/3rd).
See the concert attire information below. The first concert of the school year will take place mid September.
Due to low registration numbers, the Thursday, July 19th Advanced Band Practice and the Friday, July 20th Incoming 9th Grade will be postponed.
Students and Parents,
I hope you have had a wonderful summer! Please make sure you follow the link provided for the intent form for next weeks band clinics. Arrangements for guests have been made and we're expecting EVERYONE to attend on the rehearsal date for the 2018-2019 group you have been signed up for. If there is any confusion or question in regards to who, I will send a link out to students via Remind.
Pizza will be provided for participants. Students are asked to bring their own drinks/snacks as there will not be enough time to leave campus and return.
Thank you and looking forward to a great start to the school year!

This applies ONLY to individuals who are assigned secondary instruments for class OR who play larger or typically school owned instruments.
If you are able to do so, please come out and support the SAA Band for our performances this week as part of the GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation.
