Savannah arts academy was established in 1999 as a Specialty school and is part of the Savannah-Chatham county public school system. Enrollment is based on specific academic criterion, as well as a successful audition in the desired major.

Any student who has NOT turned in the All-State Band form needs to do so by noon tomorrow, Thursday September 29th!

2016-2017 Band Fees are $50.00 per student or $75.00 for families. Cost covers incidental band expenditures and end of the year awards. Families that pay their dues get 4 season concert passes for all normal SAA music department concerts. Band fee form can be found under FORMS tab.
Students who need help with scales, music, or fundamentals will be required to stay after school as needed. Tutorials will be held on Mondays from 3:00pm until 4:45pm. Students who want voluntary assistance will be asked to sign up via Google Classroom.
The Skyelite Jazz Band will be performing on opening day (Sunday, September 18th) of the Savannah Jazz Festival at 5pm in the Hotel Indigo. Please come out and support the hard work of our students. Following their performance, stick around for the open jam session in the same location.
